While doing the task of shaving for both men and women, it is important to remember a few tips for a successful shave all while protecting your skin.
Be sure to use clean razors and replace them frequently. A razor that is not clean can introduce bacteria to open pores and cuts and could cause an infection.
Try exfoliating your skin before you shave (face or legs), this way you won’t pick up too many dead skin cells, leaving a cleaner closer shave.
After you shave give your skin a nice cool water rinse this will close the pores and protect the skin.
If you are heading out in the sun after a shave be sure to wear sunscreen as our skin becomes more sensitive in cleanly shaven areas.
Apply a good moisturizer all over such as, Skin Resource.MD’s Total Skin Moisturizer, this one is high in moisture and antioxidants so it will replenish the skin and prevent dry flakey skin after you shave.
